In Zhan Zhuang Chi Kung one learns to return to the source of all power, to enter back into the very womb of universal energy and to experience the truth of the power of the void, the still point, the wuji". -- Internal Arts Journal |
My first experience with Ling Kong Jing started unintentionally during my normal standing Qi-healing session with my clients years ago. I noticed that my clients appeared to move backwards whenever I raised my hands to do Qi-healing without physical contact. These unusual phenomenon which occured frequently started my inquiry and research on Ling Kong Jing, the empty force, for energy healing and self-defense. My theoretical premise was that if Qi can be used for Qi-healing, then it can also be used for self-defense.
A year ago, I had no knowledge of Ling Kong Jing before that time which was as mysterious as Qi-healing itself, I became a motivated daily Zhan Zhuang Qigong practitioner when I read and viewed Paul Dong's book "Empty Force" and his student Sifu Rich Mooney's book "Ling Kong Jing" with his excellent instructional DVD. Practicing the standing like a tree meditation, Zhan Zhuang Qigong, as taught by Sifu Rich Mooney made a big difference in my progress in using Qi for energy healing and most of all, for self-defense. My previous knowledge and training in Qi-healing with the sitting and standing non-moving and moving Qigong and meditation practices (see Workshops) have assisted greatly my standing meditation postures in developing strong, smooth-flowing Qi channels, and strengthening and expanding my auric electromagnetic field (EMF) which I believe make the use of the empty force for energy healing and self-defense possible. The introduction of Zhan Zhuang Qigong practice and its healing benefits also made me interested in doing a thorough research on the Guru Yoga of Tibetan Buddhism after I watched Buddhist Master Dondrup Dorje (aka Leung Fong or Dr. Yeung) do several excellent demonstrations on Ling Kong Jing with lectures on Buddhist related topics such as Buddha nature, compassion and emptiness, void power, energy bubble, empty force and classical Qigong at YouTube.com. ![]() Benefits of Zhan Zhuang Qigong with Guru Yoga of Tibetan Buddhism
All the research and personal healing and enlightenment - realization of Buddha Nature and Buddha Palm (Awakened Touch) - experiences from the practice of Guru Yoga of Tibetan Buddhism with Zhan Zhuang Qigong and the other Qigong forms such as Ba Duan Jin, Qi Dao, Wuji Qigong, Pan Gu Mystical Qigong, Sheng Zhen Qigong (Awakening the Soul) with Super Brain Yoga and Merkaba lightbody activation were culminated and summarized in the "Realization of Buddha Nature & Buddha Palm" ebook. ![]() Buddha Palm Method of a Qigong Master An important benefit that Zhan Zhuang Qigong - the basic foundational Qigong practice - provides is the prevention of post-kundalini syndromes such as spaciness in the head, psychosis, headaches or heart discomforts that are the after-effects and result of being unconnected to the Earth (i.e. ungrounded). As a safety factor especially to meditators accessing "Tian Qi" or divine energy for spiritual oneness, one needs to connect to the Earth's "Di Qi". By grounding yourself through Zhan Zhuang Qigong with other Buddha Palm Qigong forms in the Buddha Palm Method, and doing meditation or Buddha Palm Qi emission for healing self or others, you benefit everyone, including yourself. The only catch to experience the ever expanding benefits of Zhan Zhuang Qigong developed by Great Grand Master Wang Xiang Zhai is to practice this standing meditation Qigong religiously, correctly and persistently because this ancient Qigong form with a lineage of masters that stretches over 27 centuries aligns the body's EMF with the Earth's EMF and enables the body to root down, and increase our ability to induct and conduct this EM force. The longer, and the more you train, the stronger your electromagnetic field (EMF) gets. This is essentially how Lin Kong Jing, the empty force, manifests when called on for healing or self-defense. ![]() Summing up this rare system of energy cultivation, the US quarterly "Internal Arts Journal" told its readers: "These deeply spiritual and mysterious exercises contain the seeds of real internal power. In Zhan Zhuang Chi Kung one learns to return to the source of all power, to enter back into the very womb of universal energy and to experience the truth of the power of the void, the still point, the wuji". In closing, as Sifu Rich Mooney said, "I respect each person's opinion, for that is how he or she is; but to those who discount this ability, I have a challenge: if you would dismiss it as fraud or magic, train in it yourself to get to the truth of the matter." ![]() Master Paul Dong pushes a woman back with his Qi

Standing Like a Tree is based on fundamental principles of Chinese medicine - the oldest continuous medical tradition in the world. The aim is to regulate the flow of vital energy by helping your whole system to relax while, at the same time, strengthening the ability of your body and mind to withstand stress. Research in China into its effects has shown increased blood circulation, greater breath capacity, enhanced muscle tone and strengthened immunity.
