The following article by Mingyur Rinpoche on natural mind, also called tathagatagarbha, Buddha nature, enlightened essence or true nature, compares it to an inexhaustible treasure that when recognized as our essential nature we become free from suffering since the mind is the source of all experience, and that by changing the direction of the mind, we can change the quality of everything we experience. The next article Bodhicitta: the Perfection of Dharma by Lama Thubten Yeshe shows that bodhicitta (a Sanskrit word that is often translated as the "mind" or "heart" of awakening) is the foundation of all enlightened realizations, and the best perfect dharma (Buddha teaching) practice to realize our Buddha Nature. Getting to Know Your Natural Mind by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche If an inexhaustible treasure were buried in the ground beneath a poor man's house, the man would not know of it, and the treasure would not speak and tell him, "I am here!" - Maitreya, the Mahayana Uttaratantra Shastra, translated by Rosemarie Fuchs The Buddha often compared natural mind to water, which in its essence is always clear and clean. Mud, sediment, and other impurities may temporarily darken or pollute the water, but we can filter away such impurities and restore its natural clarity. If water weren’t naturally clear, no matter how many filters you used, it would not become clear. The first step toward recognizing the qualities of natural mind is illustrated by an old story told by the Buddha, about a very poor man who lived in a rickety old shack. Though he didn’t know it, hundreds of gems were embedded in the walls and floor of his shack. Though he owned all of the jewels, because he didn’t understand their value, he lived as a pauper — suffering from hunger and thirst, the bitter cold of winter and the terrible heat of summer. One day a friend of his asked him, "Why are you living like such a pauper? You’re not poor. You’re a very rich man." "Are you crazy?" the man replied. "How can you say such a thing?" "Look around you," his friend said. "Your whole house is filled with jewels — emeralds, diamonds, sapphires, rubies." At first the man didn’t believe what his friend was saying. But after a while he grew curious, and took a small jewel from his walls into town to sell. Unbelievably, the merchant to whom he brought it paid him a very handsome price, and with the money in hand, the man returned to town and bought a new house, taking with him all the jewels he could find. He bought himself new clothes, filled his kitchen with food, engaged servants, and began to live a very comfortable life. Now let me ask a question. Who is wealthier - someone who lives in an old house surrounded by jewels he doesn’t recognize, or someone who understands the value of what he has and lives in total comfort? Like the question posed earlier about the nugget of gold, the answer here is: both. They both owned great wealth. The only difference is that for many years they didn’t recognize what they possessed. It wasn’t until they recognized what they already had that they freed themselves from poverty and pain. It’s the same for all of us. As long as we don’t recognize our real nature, we suffer. When we recognize our nature, we become free from suffering. Whether you recognize it or not, though, its qualities remain unchanged. But when you begin to recognize it in yourself, you change, and the quality of your life changes as well. Things you never dreamed possible begin to happen. -- Adapted from The Joy of Living: Unlocking the Secret and Science of Happiness. © 2007 by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. Bodhicitta: the Perfection of Dharma According to Lama Yeshe, "I think it is absolutely essential for us to have loving kindness towards others. There is no doubt about this. Loving kindness is the essence of bodhicitta, the attitude of the bodhisattva. It is the most comfortable path, the most comfortable meditation. There can be no philosophical, scientific or psychological disagreement with this. With bodhicitta, there's no East-West conflict. This path is the most comfortable, most perfect, one hundred percent uncomplicated one, free of any danger of leading people to extremes. Without bodhicitta, nothing works. And most of all, your meditation doesn't work, and realizations don't come... We are all involved in human relationships with each other. Why do we sometimes say, 'I love you,' and sometimes, 'I hate you?' Where does this up-and-down mind come from? From the self-cherishing thought – a complete lack of bodhicitta. What we are saying is, 'I hate you because I'm not getting any satisfaction from you. You hurt me; you don't give me pleasure. That's the whole thing: I – my ego, my attachment – am not getting satisfaction from you, therefore I hate you. What a joke! All the difficulties in inter-personal relationships come from not having bodhicitta, from not having changed our minds. So, you see, just meditating is not enough. If that Kadampa geshe saw you sitting in meditation he'd say, 'What are you doing? Wouldn't it be better if you practiced dharma?' Circumambulating isn't dharma, prostrating isn't dharma, meditating isn't dharma. My goodness, what is dharma, then? This is what happened to the man in the story. He couldn't think of anything else to do. Well, the best dharma practice, the most perfect, most substantial, is without doubt the practice of bodhicitta." You can prove scientifically that bodhicitta is the best practice to do. Our self-cherishing thought is the root of all human problems. It makes our lives difficult and miserable. The solution to self-cherishing, its antidote, is the mind that is its complete opposite – bodhicitta. The self-cherishing mind is worried about only me, me – the self-existent I. Bodhicitta substitutes others for self. If you want to be really, really happy, it isn't enough just to space out in meditation. Many people who have spent years alone in meditation have finished up the worse for it. Coming back into society, they have freaked out. They haven't been able to take contact with other people again, because the peaceful environment they created was an artificial condition, still a relative phenomenon without solidity. With bodhicitta, no matter where you go, you will never freak out. The more you are involved with people the more pleasure you get. People become the resource of your pleasure. You are living for people. Even though some still try to take advantage of you, you understand: 'Well, in the past I took advantage of them many times too.' So it doesn't bother you. Thus bodhicitta is the most perfect way to practice dharma, especially in our twentieth-century Western society. It is very, very worthwhile. With the foundation of bodhicitta you will definitely grow. If you take a proper look deep into your heart you will see that one of the main causes of your dissatisfaction is the fact that you are not helping others as best you can. When you realize this you'll be able to say to yourself, 'I must develop myself so that I can help others satisfactorily. By improving myself I can definitely help.' Thus you have more strength and energy to meditate, to keep pure morality and do other good things. You have energy, 'Because I want to help others.' That is why Lama Tsongkhapa said that bodhicitta is the foundation of all enlightened realizations... And the Panchen Lama goes on to say that we should look at what the Buddha did. He gave up his self-attachment and attained all the sublime realizations. But look at us we are obsessed with 'me, me, me' and have realized nothing but unending misery. This is very clear isn't it? Therefore you should know clean clear how this works. Get rid of the false concept of self-cherishing and you'll be free of all misery and dissatisfaction. Concern yourself for the welfare of all others and wish for them to attain the highest realizations such as bodhicitta and you'll find all happiness and satisfaction... You have heard of many deities that you can meditate on, many deities to be initiated into - Chenrezig and the rest. What are they all for? I'll tell you – for gaining bodhicitta. As a matter of fact, all tantric meditations are for the development of strong bodhicitta. That is the purpose of your consciousness manifesting as a being with 1000 arms so that vou can lend a hand to a thousand suffering beings. If you don't like to manifest yourself this way you can relate the meditation to your own culture and see yourself as Jesus. Avalokiteshvara and Jesus are the same: completely selfless and completely devoted to serving others..."

The circle, triangle and square, represented by the above Qigong Healing Method Logo, have been revered as sacred symbols by the early Egyptians, Greeks, Taoists and Buddhists. The circle symbolizes the universe as a whole, the center of all being, and celestial spheres. The triangle represents the creator, the co-creator and the manifestations of their union. The square is in accord with the elemental four directions of space. The Qigong Healing Method® -- a synthesis of Qi-healing, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT therapy), Pan Gu Shengong, Wuji Qigong, Sheng Zhen Qigong, Zhan Zhuang Qigong with Ba Duan Jin and Qi Dao, Super Brain Yoga, Guru Yoga, Merkaba activation and traditional body and ear acupuncture with Chinese tonic herbs and alkaline water -- was formulated by Qigong healer Ricardo B. Serrano, R.Ac. after two decades of research and practicum as a proven classical Chinese method for wholistic healing, enlightenment (realization of Buddha Nature & Buddha Palm), and psychic self-defense. The Qigong Healing Method is much more than a healing and rejuvenation technique. It is a whole new formula for body health, harmony and spiritual enlightenment. Most of the ancient classical Chinese and modern theories and how-to techniques of Ricardo B. Serrano's Qigong healing method and spiritual (Buddha nature) mastery are included in the updated EFT Qi-healers Method ebook and Realization of Buddha Nature & Buddha Palm ebook. ![]() Buddha Palm Method of a Qigong Master

Who should learn and practice Qigong?
"The process of practicing the simple hand movements of Pan Gu Shengong aids the practitioner to absorb the energy of the sun and moon, the yang combined with the yin, which is the key to bring the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects back into harmony."
"This Primordial Wuji Qigong form is incredible! I've tested and taught many kinds of meditation techniques, yoga, tai chi, etc. for 35 years. I get more energy and spiritual peace from this simple 15 minute form than anything else I ever tried! Its super easy to learn. Thank you!"
"I've had an autoimmune disorder called Celiac disease and multiple chemical sensitivities all my life, although my illness was never correctly diagnosed until eight years ago, at the age of 44. I followed the only known course of treatment: I restricted my diet and limited my exposure to harmful substances that I knew affected me negatively. But I had very little improvement in my health, and still lots of chronic symptoms: spinal and joint pain, migraines, fatigue, depression, and digestive distress. After all of the dietary changes, I felt only that the decline in my health was slowed somewhat, and I felt no improvements or hope about my future. Then I began to practice Sheng Zhen Healing Qigong (two and a half years ago). I have been practicing it daily ever since because of the dramatic way it has healed my body, and for the joy and happiness that it has brought to my everyday life. I experience much less pain. My spine and joints have become much more flexible. I feel healthier in every way, and friends and family often ask what have I been doing to change so much. They can see the changes in my posture and movements, but most of all, they tell me it shows in my face. A relaxed smile has replaced the hardened one that used to try and cover up the pain I felt. I still notice positive changes occuring on a regular basis. I can't imagine what wonderful things lay ahead for me as I continue to practice Sheng Zhen Qigong, but I'm very motivated to keep up my practice to continue seeing and feeling the changes!"
"The great Indian rishies have developed a technique to increase the intelligence of people based on the principle of ear acupuncture; unfortunately, the proper technique on how to do this exercise has been distorted and lost. To understand the principles behind the Super Brain Yoga, it is important to explain certain new scientific concepts. It is only through education and increasing the intelligence of the masses that we can have world peace."
"I practice and teach Master Choa Kok Sui's Super Brain Yoga because it incorporates the Three Treasures and Taoist internal alchemy with auricular therapy, and utilizes the gathered yuan source jing qi stored in the dantian and lower energy centers derived from the practice of Pan Gu/ Wuji Qigong and Sheng Zhen Qigong with Chinese tonic herbs supplementation to energize the brain and nervous system and activate the higher energy centers (chakras) which alleviates the condition of patients with psychological ailments and/or brain and nervous system ailments. Why does Super Brain Yoga work? From a Taoist qigong point of view, it works because it cultivates the Three Treasures - Jing, Qi and Shen. The Jing (essence) and Qi (vitality) stored in dantian and lower energy centers are utilized by the higher energy centers to develop the Shen (Spirit) energy through auricular therapy and Taoist internal alchemy. Shen, spirit or mind, energy is developed by the combination of jing and qi energy. When these two Treasures are in balance, the mind is strong, the spirit is great, the emotions are under control, and the body is strong and healthy. But it is very difficult to expect a sound mind to be cultivated without sound jing and qi. An old proverb says that a sound mind lives in a sound body. When cultivated, shen will bring peace of mind. When we develop jing, we get a large amount of qi automatically. When we have a large amount of qi, we will also have strong shen, and we will become bright and glowing as a holy man. According to the Chinese medicine five elements theory, the ears have strong correspondence with the kidneys' meridians and kidneys' jing qi (sex energy). This is one of the main reasons why Super brain yoga's auricular therapy and internal alchemy work. As a form of sexual qigong, it transmutes jing sex energy into creative energy and into a higher form of pranic energy to activate the brain cells and higher energy centers. I would recommend that consultation with a certified pranic healer or Qi-healer/ Qigong master who practices and teaches Super Brain Yoga is necessary to avoid side-effects and also receive pranic or Qi-healing for maximum effect especially for stress relief, to regulate sex drive, slow aging symptoms such as Alzheimer's, memory loss, senility, and patients with a variety of disabilities including neurological defects, Down syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, attention deficit disorder, psychotic depressive disorder, autism, seizure disorder, cognitive delay. Because of the proven potential of Super Brain Yoga for healing patients with psychological ailments and/or brain and nervous system ailments, it is now an important Qigong modality of the EFT Qi-healers Method which includes other therapies such as EFT therapy, Chinese tonic herbs, Merkaba activation and various Qigong forms such as Pan Gu Shengong, Wuji Qigong and Sheng Zhen Qigong with ear and body acupuncture. ![]() Me, Master Choa Kok Sui & Master Nona Castro I would like to acknowledge and thank Master Choa Kok Sui, my beloved Arhatic Yoga and Pranic Healing teacher, for bringing Super Brain Yoga to the world for the benefit of patients with psychological ailments and/or brain and nervous sytem ailments. I would also like to thank Master Choa personally because this simple but powerful Brain Energizing Qigong form has completely alleviated my left eye pain and hypothyroid condition together with the use of EFT therapy, Chinese tonic herbs, Merkaba activation and various Qigong forms such as Pan Gu Shengong, Wuji Qigong and Sheng Zhen Qigong which altogether cultivate the Three Treasures."
